The May 18th Global Accessibility Awareness Day Olympia will include presentations by Mark Adreon from Department of Services for the Blind, Jess Thompson from the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges and more.
After the presentations, we’ll do an open house set of demos on automated checking of websites, creating video captions and a demo of screen readers & other assisted technologies.
Automated checks – Bring a publicly available website and get a better understanding of access issues and learn what accessibility errors automated checking can find and not find.
Video captions – Find out more about best practices and lessons learned about adding captions to video projects.
Assisted & Adaptive Tech Demo – Department of Services for the Blind will demo technology that allows people with disabilities to successfully interact with digital services and content.
GAAD Olympia is open to the public.
