The agenda for the Global Accessibility Awareness Day Olympia 2016 is taking shape. The event will be on May 19th, from 1pm to 3pm at the 1500 Jefferson Building, just off the Capitol Campus.
We expect a short introductory video prepared by Gov. Inslee and his staff to start the event followed by a presentation by the WaTech Communications Director Ben Vaught on the importance of digital inclusion in Government Communications.
We will also be joined by Sundae Delgado, an Instructional Designer for DES, who has done amazing work getting their eLearning Accessible. Sundae will share her inspiring story as she has navigated accessibility standards, compliance and reality.
Next we’ll discuss some strategies for incorporating automated accessibility testing with functional testing and user testing, followed by an updated on the WA State Accessibility Policy, Standards and resources being developed.
We’ll leave time at the end for questions, discussion and open the floor for comments.
